Summer
By: Stephanie Gunnz
Loving Boy and girl and hot summer Berlin air Laughing New love makes you wanna stay there Here where there are no cares When you’re in love you don’t think what life’s becoming But if you could read between the lines you could see the end coming You could hear it in words that slipped from the tip of my tongue But tell me who cares about tomorrow when you’re young? Though it didn’t mean a future for us We loved to kiss hiding in the underpass And this summer belonged only to us Music, sunshine and two of us Our love was so fine In the summer, summer of mine Though it never meant a future for us We loved park picnics in the grass Happiness We were kissing in the hidden alleys Hot mess You gave me black wings, though not physically We felt like we’re flying over the valleys New love is always a lovely, wilder drive Living on love, we didn’t need more to survive You could hear it in the way birds sung Who cares about money when you’re young?

A perfect poem for Summer Daze Zine : )
